"I didn't choose this ability or gift to communicate with the angels. I was chosen." Margarita is a medium. Even as a ten-year-old, she hears voices that she cannot recognize, sees people who are not real and feels touches that are not actually happening. Due in part to a family environment that dismisses her stories about this as fantasy, she tries to defend herself against it and ignore the phenomena. It is only as an adult that she accepts her gift as a gift to help others. And Margarita begins to find her way in this life between two worlds and to live her life: "A gift like this is something you have to grow into. I grew into it. But the most important thing was to 'accept' it."
